Weird Thoughts Over Tea
“Weird Thoughts Over Tea”
If Life was not, what would be? if there weren’t any light in the World, your receptive eyes on your face would be useless having nothing to see, as I dip this bag of green tea in my hot cup of water, I wonder if you think like me, and have pondered upon the possibility; what if GOD with the capital G wasn’t at the top of my family tree? instead pop pop was just a monkey, climbing our family fig, throwing feces, Yikes!, the very thought of that made me take a knee, and thank HE that is so great that HE has no insecurities, because if HE was me, I’d take my Life back right out thee, the very sec–you start to drift and flee that far gone from the mere acknowledgment of me, but Lord thy grace is sufficient I see, you allow us all to make our own plea, and live free before we D-I-E, I blew twice and took a sip, as I add a little more honey, I thought to myself, does lady monkeys even have titties to breast feed, I chuckled at the mental pipture, stupid question even dogs milk their puppies, they say the best things in the world are free, because of that saying alone I almost went to penitentiary, if you don’t work you don’t eat, so if I dress down, hold up a sign on the streets, saying that I’m poor for 3 hours, 5 days a week and make 3G’s, I deserve to grub at the cheesecake factory, next to you and your family, with out you looking at me crazy, ain’t that a b-i-t-check please, my yelling got everyone staring at me, come on kids, come on honey, look like we’re not welcome here, you hypocrites, you get dressed up extra clean and go to work, I just do the opposite, so next time you get off your 9 to 5 on I-95 and see me on my grind, know that although your shift as ended, I’m still working mines doing me… the room gets quiet, one last gulp of my tea for the road put me at ease, I would have made a great exit, if only I didn’t have to come back in, to grab my Mercedes keys… Sheeeeesh…. Selah
