Poem: The Worst Drug of All

“The Worst Drug of All”

Love… What an overrated emotion.

It is the only emotion that has

The same effects as a drug.

A drug that has no rehabilitation

Or treatment centers to go to

When your heart is broken.

When you receive your first taste

Of what it is like to be “in love”,

You instantly become addicted to it

It sends you on a “natural high”

That fills your heart with immense bliss,

And leaves you craving for more

A rush you wish would never end.
