“Because of You”

Because of you

I know what it feels like

To be and to have loved

Because of you

I know what it feels like

To have my heartbroken

Because of you

I know what it feels like

To feel completely empty inside

Because of you

I know what it feels like

Not being able to eat or sleep

Because of you

I know what it feels like

To have emotional wounds that never heal

Because of you

My heart may never mend

From all the pain that you put me through

Because of you

I know what it feels like

To love someone so much,

You’d give them the world if you could

But also because of you

I will never be able to love someone

The way I once loved you.
