My Life, My Joy, My Pain Page. 2
“The Beginning”
They say life is a long and sometimes short journey, it all depends on what you do with it within your life time; I very much agree with that statement. My reason for believing this theory is because my life has had many ups and downs and it was like traveling across big hills and high rocky mountains, wondering where will they lead me and how dangerous my different paths have really been at times.
Now In the beginning before I became me, conceptually at least, before I was even thought of.. I don’t know where, when, why and how my mom and Dad met initially, but the day that they did lock eyes was the day that I was predestined for everything God had set in my path to achieve and to fail at.
Allegedly I was told that my dad was a 70’s gangster. He allegedly have done it all from kidnapping, mob ties, robbery, maybe even bust one head or two but thats another story… He allegedly had hits placed out on him and allegedly placing hits on others himself, which reminds me about a book written by Ray Ransom called “From a Gangster to a Doctor”, I think that’s the name of it. Well anyhow, in this particular book was a full chapter about all of this and that beef him and my father allegedly had back in their days, but that’s another story, in another chapter, in a whole other book. or go read Rays book lol.
In the early 80’s my father owned a neighborhood grocery store back in the day that was thriving in the Pleasant City district. My Mother was maybe 16 years old at the time and my father employed her as a grocer in his store. I’m not sure what their full involvement and status was at that present time, but to my knowledge, facts remains that my Mother got pregnant with me during that period of employment with my father, along with the mother of my 6 months younger brother Mervin Jr. and older sister Tekesha.
I also just recently found out that I have another sister that I’ve never met before that’s around my age, to make it even more interesting, her mother was pregnant with her at the same time as my Mother and Mervin Jr’s mother, from my knowledge the common denominator is that all three mothers worked in the same grocery store at the same time, for the same guy… Smh if that ain’t a rolling stone I don’t know what is smh… sad thing is we never met and hopefully one day that will change.
Over the years I take it that my Mother and father was involved somehow here and there, but nothing serious, mainly because my dad was currently married or dating my brother and older sister’s mother. Truth be told, when I used to ask my Mother why she and my father never seriously tried to be together when I was a child, she always replied… “Boy yo daddy ain’t my type” so I learned to leave it alone along those years, I figured that’s why he married another woman, or maybe already married idk shit too confusing to me lol but it is what it is right. If I’m not mistaken, I believe my mother got along with his wife…which was my siblings mother so everything was straight.
