Poor Man’s Worth

“Poor Man’s Worth”

I own no silver nor gold.. And I’ve never seen a platinum piece.

All my life I’ve dreamt of riches and wealth..

Forgetting the health and that’s the least..

I hear it will be hard for a wealthy man,

to enjoy the wonders of the promise land..

As the once poor man, was of the needy..

And the wealthy man’s spirit was very greedy..

The poor man had nothing but his faith..

The one thing that couldn’t get erased..

The riches of all the land couldn’t compete with Gods grace.

Love of Money roots all evil therefor blocks the thoughts of the true vision..

But the poor man has his path clear…

he’s the poor man that no-one fears..

Now with the absence of evil from around the poor man..

His mind kicks into gear..

Solutions are met..

New standards are set

The poor man is the power and vision

The rich man is only a check..

Why is that..?

Because the rich man bought his way up

The poor man learned and he thought his way up..

Taking heed to all the mishaps and self taught his way up..

Made his way through the struggles and fought his way up..

Now he’s grounded, anchored with wisdom.. money is only the icing,

The cake has been baked

Now the poor man have something that won’t leave him bankrupt…

Loosing all knowledge may leave

Him brainrupt…

But it’s stored in a place that no-one can’t touch..

I Wonder now if it was worth it to the rich man to look down on the poor man’s value..?

I'm Marvel Saffold, I'm a Witblogger out of Riviera Beach, FL. I'm also a Rapper, many years ago I wasn't aware of the power of literature. Specially my literature, until I started exploiting writing in different format--from music to poetry. Having made that transition--I even surprised myself many of times. The real kicker is I tasted the power prior--in the 9th Grade. I will forever love Ms. Saunders, my English Teacher at William T. Dwyer; because it was then, in her Class that I started mastering writing literature. Years later I'm finally realizing how much of an influence Her Class had in my writing process even in music. I found myself using all that I've learned from Ms. Saunders. I love writing no matter what it is.
