My Child’s Mother
“My Child’s Mother”
There’s no way I can pay you back for the 38 weeks of pain that you’ve endured..
I’m sure..
That’s why I’m being a man admitting what’s pure..
Those moments of sickness..
All the vomit I cleaned relentless..
Smh…..
the first few months were hell and at times you wanted to give up..
I can tell, but grounds were held..
I Thank you for that..
But during the process things got stale..
It was all my fault..
I cheated, you caught me and I lied…
You cried and cried..
So much pain dwelt inside and I tried to console your soul…
But none of my statements nor questions were replied….
I fucked up..
But you never broke…
you walked around big belly filled with hope..
But when I asked about us you continuously said nope…
I don’t blame you…
I put my family at risk mentally and physically…
I was wrong…
alone is where I belonged for the attempt of..
But I never stop loving you because you carried my energy…
My reason for believing in a better day…
of course this could’ve been handled a better way, but its all in the wind..
Feather weight…
Nothing compares..
The long stairs of forgiveness I had to climb…
but you deserve it, because your long stares of un-forgiveness steady climbs my heart…
I hurt for you…
I witnessed unbearable pain bared without hesitation or regret..
I sat..
and sat till that umpteenth hour was met…
The constant contractions had you stressed…
8 centimeter YES!!
I held your left leg..
your mother on the right..
after a while of pushing..
What’s in sight…
A head a neck..
look strange, but I’m bought…
I was un-able to cut the umbilical cord, because all of her moving caused a knot…
Rare…
I’m distraught..
But proud of you because you fought…
My child has arrived..
Your cheeks..
my eyes..
I then dropped my pride..
I kissed you then Thanked you..
I Love you rolled off of my tongue so true..
because I do..
No matter What the future may bring…
I know in time we shall change, but our relationship is permanent therefor I shall remain..
A father..
a provider a friend forever…
To love we don’t have to be lovers..
you’ve earned the crown of a Queen…
I appreciate you…
