Scorned Alive
“Scorned Alive”
How long has it’s been, by the time I’d cook my Uncle Ben’s rice, I would have missed you twice, and prayed to God to bring you back to me thrice, it was my plight to gamble your love and roll the dice, Yikes! snake eyes, with all my might, I should’ve stood at the threshold in front of you and just fight, scrap for what we had till the day turned into night, but too prideful to admit I was the cause for your spite, I instead decide, to preserve my heart in a bucket full of ice, I watched you walk out the door spread your wings and take your flight, with a sleight of my consciousness I shrugged it’s cool I’ll be alright, out of mind out of sight, so I thought while I sat there and fizz like a fresh can of Sprite, seconds turns to minutes, minutes turns to hours, my bubbles starts to run flat as time slowly goes by in a hearse carrying my bride, I suddenly realized that I let love walk and didn’t even say goodbye, you were owed that much I should have at-least tried, I know you sat there in the car for a while and cried, hoping I’d come outside, then give you my last oorah and carry you back inside, but they don’t make @#$holes like me anymore in Life, sigh, I let you sit there alone in pain till you put that car in drive, oh hell hath no fury like a woman scorned alive.
