Frienemies

“Frienemies…”

Everyday you say…

I got love for you but that’s only if…

I got drugs for you…

I mention God and you walked away, never paying attention like it cost to pray…

But, if I say let’s get a bottle hit a club and turn a throttle…

You will be tuned in, that’s when you’ll become a true friend I guess…

After I’ve worked all week and stood reckless on my feet, And you figure a strong hand shake, will make a friend take care of the door fees…

And you headed to V.I.P…

Please…

You never offer gas money and plus you smoked up all the weed…

how about matching one like a homie…

Why when you around I feel lonely and my atmosphere feel so phony…

You speak with a tone like you know me, and yes I remember how much you owe me…

And You display this wave of hate that lingers in the face of my faith for you as my friend but this must end and I be damned if i let it trend once again…

Only then, I can blame myself yet I know what’s organic and whats false managed…

You deceived and hurt me bad, to the point of no bandages now I need a cast for the damages that you’ve caused me, I’m not mad….

But, I can’t survive the thrive of the pride you hide, and the lies…

All because you’re confused and can’t decide, rather to be my friend or enemy…

You crossed me for small changed now your worth is your curse because your loyalty is never first…

Like that stain on his shirt or the inches missing from her skirt you gotta either…

deal with it or change up…

Till then, fact still remain that we are just….

Frienemies….

I'm Marvel Saffold, I'm a Witblogger out of Riviera Beach, FL. I'm also a Rapper, many years ago I wasn't aware of the power of literature. Specially my literature, until I started exploiting writing in different format--from music to poetry. Having made that transition--I even surprised myself many of times. The real kicker is I tasted the power prior--in the 9th Grade. I will forever love Ms. Saunders, my English Teacher at William T. Dwyer; because it was then, in her Class that I started mastering writing literature. Years later I'm finally realizing how much of an influence Her Class had in my writing process even in music. I found myself using all that I've learned from Ms. Saunders. I love writing no matter what it is.
